Haworthia fasciata – Wide Zebra (also known as Zebra Haworthia or Zebra Plant), is a charming, compact succulent from the Asphodelaceae family, native to South Africa. This delightful little plant forms tight rosettes of thick, triangular, dark green leaves boldly striped with wide, raised white horizontal bands that resemble zebra stripes — giving it a striking, graphic look. The "wide zebra" variety features broader, more pronounced white markings compared to the narrower stripes of Haworthiopsis attenuata. It stays small (typically 3–6 inches tall and wide), making it ideal for windowsills, desks, terrariums, or grouped with other succulents for a mini desert display. It occasionally produces tall, slender flower spikes with tiny white blooms in summer, though it's primarily grown for its stunning foliage.
